About this service
For sole proprietors and small crews doing under about 600,000 dollars a year. Painters, electricians, plumbers, landscapers, handymen, small remodel outfits.
Each quarter I reconcile every business account and card, categorise the period properly rather than guessing at year end, track subcontractor payments against W-9s on file, prepare and file your sales tax if you collect it, and send you a one-page summary: revenue, expenses by category, estimated tax to set aside, and anything that looks wrong to me.
At year end everything is already clean, so your return is a normal week rather than an emergency. 1099s go out in January without a scramble.
Also included: if you get a notice from the state or the IRS, photograph it and send it to me. I will tell you the same day whether it matters, and I handle the correspondence for routine matters at no extra charge. I do about fifteen of those a year and most are resolved by one letter.
Not included: reconstructing books that have not been touched in a year. That is the cleanup session, priced separately, and I will quote it honestly before either of us commits.
Price shown is per quarter. Payroll for more than three employees is quoted separately. San Francisco and northern San Mateo County.
