About this listing

When we gut a house we pull the framing and flooring that is sound and it comes back to the shop. This is old growth heart pine cut somewhere between 1885 and 1915, tight ringed, dense, and nothing you can buy new at any price. Joist stock is mostly 3x10 and 3x12 in lengths from eight to sixteen feet, denailed, metal detected and stickered in a dry space. Flooring is generally 3 and 1/4 inch face, tongue and groove, in bundles. Both come with the history: nail holes, some checking, the occasional mortise, and the color that only comes from a century indoors. Sold by the board foot for joist stock, by the square foot for flooring. It has not been milled or resawn, so plan on losing a bit in cleanup. We will help you load it and we can point you to two people in town who resaw and mill it properly. Pickup at Barclay Street, or we can crate and ship flooring bundles freight at cost. Bring a truck and gloves, this stuff is heavy in a way that surprises people.
